Good evening everyone! Today is 3/3/19 and on this post, I will be talking about Bryce Harper signing with the Philadelphia Phillies and a stadium review.
Yesterday, the Philadelphia Phillies announced that they signed free agent outfielder Bryce Harper to a 13 year 330M dollar deal that does not include any opt outs. As a New York Mets fan, it pains me to see him go to the Phillies because now the National League East is an even more competitive division from what it already was. In my opinion, the only reason why Bryce Harper went to the Phillies was for the money.
Throughout the offseason, it seemed as if the Phillies had always had the most money for Bryce Harper, but Harper didn’t accept it until now. Harper most likely wanted a team like the Giants or the Dodgers to swoop in and give him the 330M dollars he obviously wanted. Harper had the intentions of breaking the record for the most paid athlete in North America and now, that’s what he has.
Also today, I will be reviewing Madison Square Garden which is where the New York Knicks and the New York Rangers play. Something that is really unique about this arena is that two sports teams play there and they are completely different sports. One of them (Knicks) is an NBA team and the other team (Rangers) is an NHL team. The stadium also hosts concerts and boxing events but I will not be discussing that. MSG is an amazing place. There are so many different places to get food in the arena. You can get pizza, hamburgers, chinese food and so many other things! There are also many shops in the arena to get different types of merchandise of either the Knicks or Rangers. You can get hats, jerseys t-shirts, hoodies etc. Not to mention, MSG is in the middle of the amazing New York City!
Overall, I give MSG a 10 out of 10. This is because everything you would want in a basketball/ hockey arena is there!!! It is a beautiful arena on the outside and it has amazing food and merchandise on the inside.
Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!
